Having spent over 35 years nurturing minds, she has developed a unique understanding of life stages, habit formation, and overcoming obstacles. Her work with at-risk students opened her eyes to a world of trauma and family systems, which now informs her therapeutic approach.

I want to personally take this time to share feedback of my experience receiving hypnotherapy sessions through your special Community Service Program with Sue Tatro, Intern. Each of the sessions are mutually prearranged. Each of the sessions start on time with the reassurance of privacy and dignity. Sue Tatro caringly and kindly asks for my feelings, thoughts and experiences following up from the last session and my current life’s circumstances. I have a sense of our dual commitment to the rewarding hypnotherapy work she is guiding me through. In a short period of time, I can comfortably state that my self-destructive self-mutilating behaviors have significantly diminished. I am able to utilize the sessions to work throughout the day breathing deeply, setting to rest a majority of my personal fears and anxieties. I can put my head down on my pillow at night feeling peace. The miracle is I wake up with little to no manic anxiety of what the day may bring. HMI has provided Sue Tatro with incredible tools and skills. Her talents and passion shine and spread warmth.

My therapy experience prior to working with Sue Tatro had been hit and miss, and it was not until we started working together that I experienced positive changes to both my anxiety and stress levels. Sue is an exceptional therapist who listens, relates and provides suggestions to improve current struggles, while effortlessly linking problems to the root cause or life event. Sue has heard countless times of my appreciation and support towards her for everything she does for me, but my testimony is my little way of giving back for everything she does for me, thank you Sue.

Working with the Community Service Program has been wonderful. Through the program I’ve been able to gain the support needed to begin working deeply through my anxieties that have been holding me back in life. I’ve noticed myself being more open and communicative with old friends that I haven’t chatted with in a year or more. I’ve also noticed in myself self-compassion toward myself which has allowed me to improve my anxieties around my work performance by releasing perfection and control and establishing a much stronger collaborative process with clients on projects. My relationship with my daughter has become much stronger, too-more lighter, and less controlled by out-dated beliefs around insecure parenting. I’ve really enjoyed this process-it’s been difficult, challenging but in a way that has felt empowering. I also really, really appreciate how easy and stress-free it’s been to schedule sessions. Sue has been an absolute joy to work with! She has really helped me with making my vision/goals for me and my family’s present and future so much more visible, tangible, and real. Also almost forgot to mention-I’ve also been able to begin eliminating a whole bunch of eating out-replacing it with healthier options that work better for my body and mind. Feel really proud of that.
